The ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK) selects a hundred colleges for the premium membership for the coming academic year. Last year, there were seventy-five colleges, and it’s the first time the membership crossed the three-digit mark. The selection was made from a pool of over 230 applications. Total passed percentage of students, percentage of teachers with PhDs and specializations, accreditation and its current status of the institution, allotted and actual intake of students for the last academic year are some of the various factors considered. This year the program was announced in June and institutions had the chance to apply for membership till the month end.
Premium membership launched in 2015 was limited to engineering colleges until 2020. Now it is open to various educational institutions, including management, science and technology, polytechnics, and ITIs in the state. For seamless integration with the institutions and to assure the benefits reach the recipients, a thousand Student Ambassadors and Institution Knowledge Officers have been identified.
The main intention of the program is to provide certified training programs from industrial partners to both students and faculties. It also aims to provide lucrative career opportunities to bright students from different institutions. The membership will be valid throughout the academic year. A list of the colleges selected as Premium Members is available on the website. Check out the Memberships page on our website for the details.

In addition, they will have the opportunity to have their work published in our international magazine.
Institution Knowledge Officers and Student Ambassadors
Institution Knowledge Officers (IKO) and Student Ambassadors are responsible for the facilitation and coordination of ICT Academy programs. The Institution Knowledge Officer is a faculty member representing the ICT academy and serves as a liaison between the institution and ICTAK for academic programme information. IKO will integrate and coordinate institutional training programmes for engineering, arts and science, and polytechnic faculty.
Every premium membership college will have ten student ambassadors who will interact with ICTAK regularly. These student ambassadors will receive takeaway classes to help them develop their leadership and management skills. They can also participate in interactive and lead management sessions. These classes will be offered regionally in collaboration with IKO.
