Module 1

Explore Azure Virtual Machines, VM configuration, and Virtual Machine Scale Sets. Implement Azure App Service Web Apps, including application settings, scaling, and deployment slots.

Labs: Create an Azure virtual machine; build and deploy a web application using Azure PaaS

Module 2

Manage container images using Azure Container Registry and deploy workloads using Azure Container Instances and Azure Container Apps. Explore Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration and scalable application deployment.

Labs: Deploy workloads using containers; create and configure an Azure Kubernetes cluster.

Module 3

Explore Microsoft identity platform, service principals, managed identities, and role-based access control (RBAC). Implement Azure Key Vault and Azure App Configuration for secure management of secrets and application settings.

Lab: Securely access and manage resource secrets across Azure services.

Module 4

Understand DevOps principles, transformation strategies, team structures, and project selection. Plan Agile work using GitHub Projects and Azure Boards. Implement source control using Git, including repository structures, branching strategies, pull requests, Git hooks, inner source practices, and technical debt management.

Labs: Agile planning and portfolio management with Azure Boards; version control using Git and Azure Repos.

Module 5

Implement continuous integration using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions. Configure pipeline agents, pools, concurrency, pipeline strategies, and container build workflows.

Labs: Configure agent pools and pipelines; implement CI with Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions; deploy Docker containers to Azure App Service.

Module 6

Design release pipelines and implement continuous delivery using multi-stage YAML, templates, release gates, and automated health checks. Explore blue-green, canary, feature-toggle, A/B testing, and progressive deployment strategies. Implement Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, Azure CLI, Azure Automation, and Desired State Configuration (DSC).

Labs: Configure pipelines as code with YAML; implement release gates and functional tests; deploy Azure infrastructure using Bicep templates.

Module 7

Implement Secure DevOps practices across the development and deployment lifecycle. Explore Software Composition Analysis, static and dynamic application security testing, OWASP practices, security monitoring, governance, and compliance. Integrate Azure Key Vault into DevOps pipelines and manage technical debt using tools such as SonarCloud.

Labs: Integrate Azure Key Vault with Azure DevOps; implement security and compliance in Azure pipelines; manage technical debt using SonarCloud and Azure DevOps.

Elgibility

The following shall be eligible to join the program;

Engineering or science graduates / three-year diploma holders in any engineering branches, final year/pre-final year students of these courses, having a foundation level knowledge (plus two equivalent) in Mathematics and Computer fundamental skills.
Students who have completed their graduation but are awaiting the final results can also apply.
