  • Service models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Deployment models: Public, private, hybrid, community
  • Set up an AWS Free Tier account

Module 2

  • Compute: Launching and managing EC2 instances
  • Storage: Working with S3 buckets and object lifecycle policies
  • Networking: VPC setup, subnets, route tables, and security groups
  • Deploy a web application using EC2 and S3

Module 3

  • Introduction to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation
  • Automating tasks with AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Deployment strategies: Blue-green and rolling deployments
  • Create CloudFormation templates to provision infrastructure

Module 4

  • Cloud security fundamentals: IAM roles, policies, encryption methods
  • Monitoring with AWS CloudWatch: logs, metrics, and dashboards
  • Cost management: pricing models and optimization techniques
  • Create and assign IAM roles and policies

Module 5

  • Design and implement a real-world cloud solution using AWS
  • Project components to include: compute, storage, networking, automation, and monitoring
  • Team presentations.

Electives

  • Basic knowledge of operating systems and computer networks
  • Familiarity with any programming language.
  • Interest in cloud technologies and infrastructure systems

Eligibility

The following candidates are eligible to join the program:

  • Current students of Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).
  • BTech. students who are currently pursuing their degree.
  • MTech. students who are currently pursuing their degree.
  • Applicants with a keen interest in learning Cloud Computing concepts and AWS technologies as part of their skill development.

Note: Candidates who have already graduated are not eligible to enroll in this program.
